Earl T. Gambrel, DVM graduated in 1912 from Chicago Veterinary College and after practicing in other areas of Illinois, moved to the Winnebago area in 1945. His oldest son, Paul T. Gambrel, DVM graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1942 and together, with his father, built and established this practice in 1945. The youngest son, L.E. Gambrel, DVM also graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1955 and joined this father and brother in the practice. They worked together until the eldest Dr. Gambrel retired in 1958. The two brothers worked together until Dr. Paul retired in 1981. During this time, in 1978, Dr. Tanaglia, one of the current owning partners, practiced with them until deciding to further his education. In 2000, Gambrel Winnebago Animal Clinic joined the Animal Medical Clinic Team when Dr. Tanaglia and Dr. Thompson purchased the practice. In May 2005, Dr. L.E. Gambrel retired after working in the Veterinary field for 50 years.
