  • Hospital motto painted above our door
Our "motto" painted above our door in our Reception area: "All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small."

    Lauren & dog
Laurene, the Branch Manager, gladly welcomes
your furry friends into the clinic.

    Appointment Policy
We work on an appointment basis. Emergency walk-ins during business hours taken as needed.

Request an appointment online using your Pet Portal. Click here to get started.
  • Pre-surgical Policy
Patients having surgery should have no food after 10 p.m. the night before the procedure (water is fine). We require pre-anesthetic bloodwork with our surgeries and encourage owners with older animals to do more extensive testing. Surgical check-in is between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. At that time, we will weigh the patient and one of our technicians will meet with the owner to discuss the surgery and answer any questions. The owner is required to sign a surgery consent form.
  • For Overnight Patients
During regular business hours, there is always staff in the building. After hours, a Kennel Attendant member returns in the early evening to care for patients that are here over night. If any of one of them requires medical attention, the Veterinarian returns to care for these patients.
  • After-Hours Emergencies
We refer after-hours emergencies to Animal Emergency Clinic of Rockford
    4236 Maray Drive
    Rockford, IL 61108
only 2 blocks from Animal Medical Clinic
    Telephone: (815) 229-7791
  • Payment Options
It is customary to pay for veterinary services upon their completion. The doctor can give an estimate of anticipated procedures prior to admission. On an as-needed basis, for extensive services/treatments we will work with the individual client to come up with an agreeable payment plan for that one time only. We are a locally-owned small business and our ability to deliver quality animal care is based on fair fees for services rendered.

We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, CareCredit, and traveler's checks. We offer a discount on the Office Call/Wellness Exam to clients bringing in multiple pets on the same visit. We also honor appropriate certificate(s) from Winnebago County Animal Services, and with prior approval from Winnebago County Humane Society, we offer discounted spays/neuters.
